BIOS Upgrade RAID Failed

So I had a motherboard die on me. I got a new motherboard and installed it, putting all the drives back and in the same ports. Booted the system and updated the BIOS of the new board. When I did my RAID10 failed...but it only said failed, it didn't actually fail. Apparently this is a pretty common issue, I did some Google searching "Gigabyte BIOS update RAID failure" and I'm amazed that this happens so often...stupid...

So I followed a guide I found here:

And it worked for restoring the data and the RAID10 back to normal however, I still had to fix the bootloader.

I followed every single guide/forum I could find and spent literally 6 hours trying to get Server 2012 to boot with zero success. Finally I stumbled on this one:

Sure enough the guy had all of the exact same issues I did and was able to solve it. None of the other posts about fixing the boot loader talk about mounting the 100MB boot partition and then copying the files over to it, though in hindsight it makes total sense haha.

I finally got the system to boot but the bootloader is still all jacked up, can't make any changes from within the OS. I think I need to do it again and re-create the BCD. I also have to re-enable the hypervisor stuff that none of the other articles talked about. It wasn't until I got the server booted and tried to run a VM did I figure that out.

I'll go back to battle with the bootloader when I get off work... just thought I'd share...
 
Once I had to recover an Intel RAID1. One disk failed and for some reason the other disk was also kicked out of the RAID. The system could still boot from the single, now non-RAID disk. I just imaged the remaining disk to a newly created RAID1 on new disks with an Acronis Boot-CD (which can read Intel RAIDs like most linux Live-CDs) and the system worked again. Maybe there would have been another solution like yours, but I only had a day for recovery, so I went the brute-force route.
