ok.. this is my first post...so..pardon my... insanity...

I have a AMD Athlon xp 2700+ processor and the Thermaltake Bigwater water cooling kit. I know its not the best but with a Radeon 9800 Pro vid card i needed something to handle the load. I know its not the best but its all i could afford at the time. I also have my computer in a computer desk that i ripped the back off of to allow mroe airflow. I have the ASPIRE X-Navigator case, and because I have the Bigwater cooling system, I have only one fan on in my tower.. the 80mm at the from (not including the 120mm for the radiator). I have a problem though, my cpu is still reaching temps as high as 60C and 56C idle. I know that room temp is variable.. and my current room temp is about 28C... 81ish F.. however.. i dont think my pc should still be getting that hot.

after reading some of the posts here.. i discovered that the pump in thei bigwater kit sucks.. a lot.. so im wondering if a better pump would help...and if so, how would i change the pumps without spilling coolant all over the place. should i clamp the hose?...upon installing the loop... i realized that i had the pump in wrong spot.. after i filled it.. so i had to switch hoses and it was a pain to do it without spilling it.half of my coolant ended up on the bottom of my case.. so.. i dont want that to happen again...

im not sure what i can do to make my temps drop.. im getting a lot of lock ups and its really making me mad.. would it help a lto to bring my pc out of the computer desk?... i really dont have anywhere else to put it thats y i havent taken it out

please help!!... thanx ahead of time

so you have an 80mm fan for intake...a 120mm exhausting the air?

probably awful airflow and the 120mm is pulling all the warm air from inside the case through the fins on the radiator - which is why your temps are poop.

i have the ability to have two 80mm fans in the front, one on my side panel, and one of the top of my case, however i have my pc in a computer desk with a drawer above the tower, so the top fan wouldnt do much. do u think i should just hook up the other side fan?

I was just thinking...even if i do get another fan in there, wouldn't the 120mm thats hooked up to the radiator (i did an extermal radiator install, no room inside case) pull all of the hot air inside the case through the radiator and then out, so in either case wouldnt i just be heating up the radiator with hot air?....

try reversing the 120 so it draws outside air through rad and into the case. I believe madshrimps tried this and found better results.
