Motherboard: ASRock K8 Upgrade 1689
Processor: S754 AMD Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.4GHz

So I finally bought the Big Typhoon. When I pulled apart my system, I discovered that ASRock was using a strange mounting bracket (Ironically, also from Thermal take  ) that has no backplate. I ended up using the foam pad, Mylar sheet, and second metal bracket that came with the BT on the back of my motherboard in place of a backplate so I could mount the darn thing.

I have a couple of concerns with this mounting scheme.
A) Is the foam pad going to compress over time, and am I going to need to tighten up the screws?
B) Is there any danger to my motherboard with it mounted this way?
C) Is this affecting my temps? Idle is 38C, load is 42-46C using AS5 (Not a major improvement over stock).
