i was cleaning up the wires in my case (with psu unplugged) and when i turned it back on, everything powered up for about half a second and then i saw a big spark in the psu. its a thermaltake purepower 420W. now it will not work.

is it scrap metal now or is it something i can fix/wait out?

The more important question.

Is it worth risking the rest of your system, to fix the psu?
