BFG Support Contradiction

The first mistake was to send a brand-new card to the manufacturer- generally it's better to return DOA hardware to the place you purchased it from. Going through warranty service is almost always going to be slower than just getting a product replacement.

What you have to realize is, when I purchased these cards, it was impossible to get them unless you spent EVERY waking moment checkin websites and forums. I KNEW there was no way chumbo was going to have any spare cards in stock, and less likely get new ones in anytime soon.

I am talking about december time frame here...

If you could get a PCI-E 6800GT at that timeframe you were a lucky one who happend to jump on board during the couple hours they were available...

BFG Came through and got my my 6800GT here today. FINALLY I HAVE TWO IDENTICAL CARDS!

It has been an ordeal ( a month since I purchased the original two well three if you consider I had to buy an XFX 6800GT as well)

Hopefully My system will be able to handle the dual cards when I hook them up (but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some minor "issues" in my way)

At least you can't say BFG didn't do what they could to resolve it for you once they realised things weren't going too well. I can only hope they would have acted the same had you not voiced your concerns on a widely-read forum.

Good luck on getting it up and running and we'll be needing to hear of the performance as soon as it's all going.

Agreed

Everything with my install of the second card went fine last night. Howver, I did notice that the coolbits option for frequency changes of the cards is no longer available...

I have been running on a skeleton HD setup right now because of all the testing I have been doing, so I only have a couple games installed...

Unfortunately CoD is one of them and it doesn't support SLI as of yet :(

Not as if it matters for that game I guess because my frame rate never went below
60fps at 2048x1536 with just one 6800GT ... heh

I have the matrix online installed as well, but it has an ATI logo associated with it so I wouldn't be surprised if SLI has some issues (specially since it is a beta)
Although it would be a good game to test it out on because it taxed my single 6800GT with all options turned on at 1600x1200
