Better than volcano 7

you could get a sp-94 and run the quietest fan you can find, would work with no prob, just get a faster cfm fan if you plan on ocing.

i dont over clock
the only time i would over clock is if i get a barton

where could i find the sp-94?

it doesnt matter, that or a zalman 7000 would keep your processor damn cool

my processor is cool now. i want somthing that will keep cool and keep quiet

do NOT get a thermalright sp-94, the sp-94 is for P4's
get a thermalright sp-97 if u want top notch performance (needs strong fan tho)

or you could go with the Zalman CNPS 7000A-AlCu, this is the best performance:noise level HSF on the market

note:all of these HSF's can be found at svc.com

Is there a site where i can look at these. also what is a good watercooler for a reasonable price? i was going to go for the koolance. its not that bad. i always see people dissing it.

ive been looking around and so far i have found koolance for 200. where could i find one cheaper than 200?

also no1 never told me about svc.com

Most people around here use www.newegg.com with some others thrown in. I just recently stumbled across SVC myself doing a google search. I'll stick with NewEgg though. They have never let me down.

Anyway, I picked up a Zalman 7000A-AlCu for an 1800+ Palamino system I was fixing up for a friend. Dropped the temps 9c over the Valcano 7 I had in there and MUCH quieter. To drop a Palamino by 9c is doing real good. So much qieter now on top of it all. The Valcona's fan was running full speed.

its funny MOST people want to go with a quiter fan, but still over clock, you would think fan companies would look in to this more, and provide a fast/powerfull fan thats quite.

lol ya but i dont OC so im just looking for a quiet fan. i have 10 fans in my comp (not counting pci fans and video card fans) and my comp is really loud. i am buying some very quiet 80mm fans that i found that are very quiet (there metal blue led which is tight) i just need to find i nice quiet cheap cpu cooler

you can build a much much better WC system for 100...

The only real way to get more powerful fans (airflow) and quieter at the same time, is to move up in size.

A 92mm fan pushing 80CFM is quieter than an 80mm fan pushing 80CFM. A 120mm fan pushing 80CFM is even quieter.

That is unless someone comes up with a new fan design.
