I have a question to see which set up would be the best option for me. I really dont think there even is much a of a difference.

I have 2 different PCs with two different CPU/GPU combos.

First one is an AMD PII x6 1090T OC'd 4.9ghz and a 6970

Second one is an Intel 2500k OC'd to 4.5ghz and a 7870

would I notice a differnce with swapping video cards on the systems or will it not make much difference? It just something I was wondering.

Thanks,
Dave

Based on older benchmarks and reviews, the i5-2500K and HD 7870 combo is the better choice.

In most gaming and single-threaded tasks, the i5-2500K will outperform the X6 1090T despite the latter's higher (overclocked) speed.

Many benchmarks give a slight edge to the HD 7870 overall, but it really depends on the specific game(s) in question.

I too would go with the i5-2500k, but that's mainly because I'm super anal about my cpu bottlenecking my system. If you go the i5, it should last you at least another VGA upgrade.
