best water pump?

I would say the "Best pump" would be to subjective to really say but i would say that the danger den pump is very nice it is 12 volt so there is no need for a relay. but for the money i would get a eheim 1250 its $60 pushes 300gph and is as reliable as any pump can be.

although i am a cheap kinda guy and have a via 1300 i like it because it was $20 never leaked and isn't to loud i also have an eheim s600 wich i would also recomend if you are only cooling the cpu and are using a big reservoir.

+1
i just bought a 1250 (and sold my 1028 on here :) )
most reliable, quiet pump - sold

For performance and noise at a reasonable cost, the Swiftech MCP600 is a great pump.

That is one of the two pumps I would get on a below $80 budget. The other would be the swifty MCP600. Both of those in a system would out perform most any AC pump in that price range except maybe the danner mag3. The ehiem is slightly quieter than the MCP600 and quite a bit quieter than the D4.

If you are after performance the winner is definatly the D4. Its not loud but has a higher pitched sound that can be noticed outside the case.

For quiet the ehiem or mcp600 would be best with the MCP600 performing a lil better but niether would be heard outside a closed case.

Quality wise they all are great..

This guy knows what he's talking about. I've been using a D4 for about 4 months or so now. Performance kicks ass for the price. I absolutely love it. However, I don't mind the noise, and I know some people would. So, here is my suggestion: If you don't mind a buzzing noise, get the D4. If you want a very quiet pump with great performance, get the MCP600. :)
