I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. The Auzentech X-fi Prelude, to the latest of my knowledge, still does not have a driver to support DD Live/ DTS Connect. That's the point I made... The Prelude uses the X-fi and IS and "X-fi Prelude".

What is your point, really?

So, basically, if I run my system optically, I'll potentially have the best sound quality for those games/movies that had signals other than DD, as now I'll actually be able to utilize every signal I would have been missing had I not had DDL.... therefore making this something essential to the great audio experience I want with all my games/movies.

Almost.
The digital link is further compressed and will use the DAC and analogue pre-amp components in your amp.
If you use analogue out on the Prelude, it will use its own DAC and pre-amp circuits which are very high quality.
You will need a very expensive amp to beat the quality of the Preludes analogue side.

So unless you have a very expensive amp with a few tricks to interpolate missing information, you will get better sound quality using Analogue on the Prelude.
This isnt because the Prelude has crap digital out, quite the opposite, it will be as good as you can get, but its analogue stage is phenomenal.

If you can possibly use analogue on the Prelude, you should take advantage.

Right now the XFI prelude does has DD live in it driver, it had for the last 3 RC drivers including the current one, the first one you had to email auzentech to get. The only thing thats not in the drivers right now is the DTS interactive. What there doing right now is trying to get the kinks out of it before they release a final driver.

But its there and it works the way it should. DTS interactive comes later after there done and gotta do the same to that. It will output to 5.1 in digital on your Z5500 while still giving your eax. I have my Z5500 connected thru Digital. while I use my headphones for the analog connections.

I recall from my first post, I asked if it had DD Live and you responded back with something erroneous in regards to my question. Your response was telling me the converstation was about the Prelude and that's exactly what I was already talking about.

The arrogant ass you speak of isn't from my end of the conversation. Once it was shown to me, I did not argue any point further.
