Best Software raid OS for Raid 6

Sol if I have a PC that just had hard drives connected to the MB, and no OS, what software would be the best choice>
 
for ease of use these two are my recommendation:
unraid for expandability
freenas for speed/ free cost

However there are alot of other options available too:
stablebits drivepool, microsoft storage spaces, ceph, ZFS on linux, open media vault(omv), open filer, xigma nas (aka nas4free), amahi
 
you could even do a proxmox build and then use the built in ZFS for a VM and do file and storage sharing at any level of host or VM.

you might try mentioning if you have a use case or goal, we might be more helpful then. just sayin...
