Best Socket 478 Cooler?

Im looking to pulla few MHZ out of this CPU and it idles really high...im on a stock cooler from a 3.2c cooler i got from friend. And it cools it ok..but im looking for awesome cooling with low noise.

with my CPU not even a high temprate one, ive had a Zalman 7000 al-cu on it and ive never seen such good temps idling 30c. I was wondering if i should get one of these again?..or is there something better?...and ofcourse the thing i loved about the zalman was the low noise. Is there anything out there that is low noise but awesome in cooling?

If you really want an awesome but useless cooling solution....Look at Phase Change cooling....That will put you're processors idling temps way down....but like I said and I quote...."USELESS!!!!"

yeah "best" would be phase change cooling...but of course that's probably not what you were refering to What kind of budget are you looking at? and does watercooling scare you?

I had a Swiftech MCX4000 with an Antec 92mm dual ball-bearing fan on my 2.8C. That thing never broke 48°C under full load, and the only noise it ever made was a gentle whoosh that even a cat's purr could drown out.

Now that I have this 3.4E, I really sorely miss that MCX4000

I was going to suggest just that, a Zalman 7000, just got one myself, works quite nicely. I also hear nothing but good things about the Thermalright XP-120, minus the fact that its big, but thats the point right?

i'd go for some decent watercooling, really silent and looks cool in your case, plus decent overclocks can be had all for about £100

i got the right enough room for it too it will look massive..but who cares..might make my removable Mobo tray hard to use lol cause of the massivness of this cooler.
the Zalman 7700 ranging from 40-44 dollers seems like the low cost for great performance and low noise.
