currently i have a thermaltake big typhoon. last night i did a test fit in my old lanboy that im modding casue i knew it would be a tight fit with my psu.i was correct, and also noticed i was going to have promlems plugging in the 8pin power connector on the mobo, and it might hinder the performance of the 120mm exhaust fan i plan on installing in the back.
here is a pic describing most of what i am concerned about
the only option i have right now is a local frys. The only other coolers they have are:
Zalman | 9700 series | 9500 series | 8000
Thermaltake | big typhoon | mini typhoon | sonic tower | tower 112 | blue orb 2
Asus | silent square
=/ pretty poor choice huh? would any other cooler above be more efficient in cooling my comp, specs in sig. planning on upgrade to a q6600 after price cuts.
also, would it make much of a difference if i positioned the fins of the big typhoon towards the exhaust fan, right now the heatpipes are facing it.
