Alright, so I want to know the best way to get 3 minutes out of a DVD movie that I have and put it into a format that I can put in PowerPoint.

I have the real DVD and I know how to decrypt it if I need to.

Let me know the best software, cause I need it for work and I can buy the software.

Thanks

you could use fraps to take the video out of the movie while it is playing
that's what i did for a school project.
However, you need a computer with the fraps codec installed in order to play it.

SmartRipper can decrypt/rip specific chapters of a DVD, the you could use the VirtualDub MPEG2 mod to take that clip and snip it down to precisely what you're looking for (start point - end point) and save it out in whatever file format you want except QuickTime. DivX, XviD, WMV, HuffyV, 3ivx, etc. Whatever you want.

YOU ARE BRILLIANT!
I could just convert it from Fraps right to something else?

hrmmm, When I start recording using Fraps it gets choppy and my recording is choppy, any way around this??

choppy?
hmm, i never had that issue before, i suppose you can give higher prioirty to either your video player or fraps
and what video player are you using?
