Hi All: I'm expecting-in my XFX 7870 today. Replacing my reference Gigabyte 6870. What is the best removal software tool out there? It's been two years since I built my rig. I'm kind of out of it.
 
This. Don't use these tools, they are completely unnecessary and do more harm than good.
 
Agreed. In most cases you can just install the new driver over the top. If you really want to, you can use the built-in driver uninstall.
 
Wow...Ok...It's been awhile for me. Nice to know that the regular ATI uninstaller will get the job done. NewEgg just arrived with my new 7870. Thanks all for all of your insight!

Standard "remove program" control panel applet is all you need. If you want to clean out shit from individual hard drives, right-click the hard drive and select "properties" and then "disk cleanup".
 
Even when switching between Nvidia and AMD all that I do is just run the driver's uninstaller.
