Ok well here are my comp specs:
FX-55
ASUS A8N-sli
1gb ram
Nvidia 6800 GT
2 raptor SATA 70gb HDD's
160gb SATA HDD


Heres what im thinking for my water cooled setup:
Innovatek Konvekt-O-Matic Passive Radiator - Aluminum Color
Tygon Anti-Kink 3/8" ID (1/2" OD) Tubing
Eheim 1250

Im not sure what watblck to get, the RBX or TDX look good, not to sure whats the hughe differance, but i also read somewhere that if you mix metals, (aluminum in radiator, and copper in waterblock they will erode eachother)
Any suggestions would be awsome. :D
 
there isn't that much differnce between RBX and TDX. Go with the one that only has two barbs, I can never remember which one is which :p

Also, that Konvekt-O-matic won't be enough. It can dissipate 95 watts @ 40°C water temp.

If you get one of the larger KOMs, or an alternative, the Cape CORA 642 Maxi from Alphacool, just order a pottle of Innovatek Protect "IP", it's a G11-based corrosion inhibitor. Works just fine.
 
the rbx (3 barbs) out performs the tdx by quite a bit, but for nearly the same price you can get the whitewater which beats both of them. its 55 from there site but i heard they were out of 64 conversion kits or something so youd have to wait. you may not need those 3 barbs but you can use a y coming from the two outlets on it it has a much better design. if you are really considering the tdx get the swiftech 6002 instead its a lil cheaper and performs on par with the rbx. the best way to really find out is do a search on each individual product. search the tdx thread, then rbx, then swiftech 6000 series, then whitewater then the g4/g5 to see what a 140 dollars could do if you only had that to blow. since your pump isnt extremely high flow i would go with the swiftech unless your looking at getting a 400gph+ pump later. :)
 
well i think im gunna get the white water one but the passive radiators start to seem like there not worth it. I will get alot better performance out of a dual 120mm radiator, and suggestions on one of those??

also, the only waterblocks i could find for the Nvidia 6800 that dont go down (in sli they will hit each other) are the innovatek ones, and they use 1/4 ID, isnt that kinda small, or should i just get a normal GPU waterblock and some ramsinks so i can go 1/2in ID?
 
Between the TDX and RBX, only get the RBX (3 barb) if you can easily handle the extra outlet. For example, on my setup (see my thread) it's perfect so it's worth choosing it over the TDX.

Did you look at the silverprop fusionSL for the gpu? (not the HL) they are a little more low profile.
 
you can always get some 1/2 inch barbs for it but thats gonna restrict your flow quite a bit, just getting a gpu block would prolly be the best solution. but either way having a 90 degree turn is seriously gonna hurt your flow. you might consider getting a single 120mm rand and small pump and doing a second line for the vid cards and maybe nb.
 
Sorry just re read your post about the gpu's. Yes I say get the gpu blocks and the ramsinks. Graphics ram does fine on air.
 
Watercooling any kind of ram is a waste. Unless, the water is chilled, of course.

i cant cool my NB anyway because the vid cards will go over the top of it and i dont wanna run into any issues with the barbs hitting.
 
thats understandable but a small cooling steup using 3/8 inch maybe just for the vid cards would be a bad idea, if it were just one maybe it would be overboard but i think in this case itll perform well and look nice with tubing everywhere :D
 
ya, i was thinking of only doing it on the CPU, but that would kinda be a waste of my huge case. Well i have just about everything ordered and on the way. Project Dark Oasis has begun.................... :cool:
