Best 23" display?

I want to get a 23" 1920x1200 LCD. Most (all?) of these seem to be based on the Philips-LG LM230W02 23" S-IPS panel, and reviews are generally good. Sony, Apple, HP, BenQ, and Philips all have displays based on this panel... any others?

I'm leaning toward the Sony because I would prefer a black bezel, but some people have complained about the glare from Sony's coating on this monitor and my study is very bright, so that might not be the best choice for me.

What are people's impressions of these displays? If you have one, which one, why that one, and what do you like / not like about it?

Wait for the new dell 24". It's supposed to come out around Valentine's day and it will probably be a lot cheaper than the current array of 23" monitors...

There is the Apple Cinema Display, which I'd buy this summer if nothing better comes out by then (which is more than likely so) =0)

Apple 23" I have it and love it. A piece of art...Sonys are dimmer than the Apple and Dell? Bah...cheap and ugly....to me....no offence to others...that dell 20" has lots of back lighting issues...Samsung 243T is also a good choice.

Personally, I'm waiting on the Dell 2405FPW which should be out next week.

Despite the 2005FPW's shortcomings early on, the rest of the Dell monitor lineup seems to be top notch, and I'm betting that their new products will be as well.

Id check out the brand new Viewsonic 23" Widescreen LCD Monitor. Model is VP231wb. It does HDTV resolutions including 1080P (Progressive).

Is this true, around about Valentine's day?

Will it just be a new panel and look the same or are we talking about a completely new monitor?
