Best 2.1 Speaker Setup?

I'm tired of my 8 year old Klipsch ProMedia 4.1.
Is there anything better out there these days?
I've been so out of the loop - any suggestions?
I'd rather not go to a headphone system, as this is used for movie watching as well.
I'd also rather not run wires across the room, this set is going in my bedroom.

i would suggest an integrated amp/receiver, bookshelves/full range mains, and a sub if you need more bottom end to make you smile.

how much do you want to spend?
