alright, i looking for someone with this monitor so i can get an honest review about it, from what i've read, this is one of the best price/performance monitors around, i know acer owns benq, but i'm worried about quality, anyone have any experience with this, if you know of a better price/performance 19"lcd let me know, i'm open to suggestions

I received my fp937s Monday from Monitors Direct. It replaced an aging 21 inch CRT that was getting too blurry and taking up too much desk space.
I am very impressed with the 937. Its very bright and the picture looks amazing. Text is very clear and crisp. I have played some Doom 3 on it and noticed no ghosting at all. I mainly play SWG, which isnt as fast paced as Doom 3, but I havent seen any ghosting in SWG at all either.
The build quality seems to be very good. It feels very solid and stable on the base. The bezel is nice and thing to. The cable management clips in the back feel a bit cheap, but they do their job and keep the cable out of the way, so I cant fault them.
All in all, while other LCDs such as the 2001fp have higher resolution and a bit larger screen, the $200+ price difference (tax from Dell) between the two made me chose the fp937s and I dont regret it.

As of right now i'm using vga because for some reason the monitor wont pick up the dvi signal from my leadtek 6800GT. If anyone has any idea how to fix this please post a reply.
Anyway I'll point out the bad and good.
BAD:
-2 dead pixels, 3-4 stuck subpixels
-bottom 1/3 of the screen is noticably brighter and washed out. For instance my media player is purple and looks purple at the top of the screen but looks hot pink at the bottom.
-extreme color banding. You can see them pretty much across the whole gradient
-dithering is noticable, especially in movies
-using anything higher than 60hz creates some odd scan line effect
-extreme blur with moving images. For instance scrolling down webpages makes the text look bolded, smudgy and high contrast. For games I tried CS, Flatout, NFSU2, Vampire: Bloodlines, Soldiers - Heroes of World War II and a few others and they all looked like the picture was smearing even with minor movements. In nfsu2 it gets so bad when you get up to speed that it looks like the nitro blur effect is on 24/7.
-Blacks aren't very black
-Dark games like bloodlines are 100% unplayable. Dark areas are way to dark to see anything and it looks like there's a white haze over everything. Gamma corrections do not seem to fix the problem.
-viewing angles are poor. Even the smallest head movement will result in noticable color changes.
-Benq put a 12ms sticker on the screen. Stupiest thing ever because now there's sticker crap stuck to the screen...

-no light leakage
-comes with DVI cable
Overall this ones going back to the store, once i find somewhere to buy another monitor. I'll see if i can pick up a Viewsonic 192B or a 2005 dell to see how they hold up, if they suck then it looks like i'll have to buy a crt and slowly go blind.

It sounds like you got a bad sample and perhaps using the vga input gives a really bad picture. I've had one for over two months and I've been very happy with it. I had only one stuck pixel and BenQ accepted an RMA and send me a replacement with in a week. No dead or stuck pixels on the replacement
The problems this monitor does have are:
Bad viewing angles.
Screen reflects too much glare.
I agree, the colors in games were too dark, and adusting brightness and contrast on the monitor didnt help. However adjusting the contrast and brightness in the ATI control panel seemed to fix this for me
However I get no blurring or ghosting whatsoever. And I don't get the uneven brightness or color banding your getting.
