How would this monitor stack up against some of the the top monitors today?
The reason I ask is because I own one and I was wondering if it's time to upgrade to a better one. I don't seem to be able to find another one anywhere so ether no one bought them or everyone's holding on to them ether way if leaves me in a bad place. I want to run two monitors but I don't know how that will work with mismatched monitors:confused:. Any advice on how to proceed? Thanx in advance: Menace

Dude,

LCD monitor tech do not advance as quickly as other types of tech. If I were you then I would just keep it.

If you really feel the need to "upgrade" then look at the 26" Planar PX2611w of almost $800. It is an awesome H-IPS monitor with 5ms response times and and less than 8ms input lag; basically the fastest you can get for a IPS panel.

Colors are simply awesome once calibrated, out of the box it's not too shabby, but some manual adjustments is recommended if you don't wanna spend the $$ on a colorimeter.

I think the Planar PX2611w made it's debut in summer 2007.

I would keep it. That monitor was really popular in its day. Try checking eBay if you are interested in picking up a second one.

If you decide to sell the FP241W, lemme know! I'm looking for a second to run dual screen. Thanks!
