baybus questions

I'm not sure if I understand your question. Are you asking if you need a special connector to connect it to the baybus? The answer is no. in fact I think you only need bare wires.. therefore you'd have to cut off your old connector or fashio a female connector that goes to bare wires.

I wouldn't suggest it. I wouldn't want my cpu fan to possibly be turned off. This baybus does have a switch that allows it to be turned off. I'd leave my cpu fan connected to my mobo, you can also allow it to monitor rpm's that way etc.
 
ok, if I want the wire to plug into the end of my current wire, wouldn't it be a male connector? because it would need pins to go into the holes, like the motherboard has
 
Yes it would have to be like the motherboard. If I were doing this I'd probably take my old motherboard (which fried and does not work) and desolder the fan plugs from the mobo and make a connector that way I wouldn't have to cut off my fan plugs so I could use them later for something else if I wished.

Maybe if you had something like that you can cannibalize. Or perhaps you can strip some of the insulation off the wire and connect another wire to it leaving the plug intact. However I will give you one warning. BE CAREFUL. If the bare wires are allowed to touch they will burn up and smoke and if they touch other components things will fry. Make sure that when you are done everything is well protected and insulated.

Maybe others will have a good idea how to make a connector for it.
