Basic questions for WC Noob

This will be my first water cooled project and I just want to get some questions answered so I don’t miss anything and potentially ruin my new hardware. The WC kit I have is the Swiftech H20-120 Rev2.

1. Would you recommend a T-Line for easier draining/flushing of the system or do they cause problems later on?
2. Before I add the distilled water and coolant, should I flush the entire system first? If so, what solution would I use and for how long?
3. Do you use any kind of sealant on the hose connections? If so, what?
4. Would you use the supplied clamps or buy metal ones? If using metal clamps, is there a chance that they will cut into the hose and cause a leak?
5. Most of the newer video cards I’ve looked at have a fan assembly that also cools the ram. If I remove that and just use a waterblock for the GPU, won’t that lead to high ram temps and instability?
6. Should I use Hydrx coolant or not? I’ve read posts that give completely different opinions on it.

I do have many years of experience with PC hardware and installing a motherboard/CPU is nothing new to me, but I just don’t want to be one of the “guess what happened to me” guys and end up with a fried system.
 
There are some questions that are too specific so they require a new thread...others can be searched for. None the less:

1. The reservoir it comes with is fine
2. just flush the parts before you install them
3. No, how would you take the tubes off? Just use worm gear clamps
4. metal ones
5. Which is why you buy heatsinks for the VGA Ram. Swiftech sells them called MC14 BGA ramsinks
6. Its fine, I use it and I'm still breathing

I am surprised you are going with an older watercooling system...but to each their own right?
 
#3 After having used some aftermarket tubing on my swiftech kit to lengthen the tubing after install i noticed the aftermarket tubing leaked where it met my flow meter. In a case such as this i wrapped a small rope like piece of plumbers putty around the fitting on the flow meter.

You shouldnt need anything on your kit, but if for some reason it leaked the plumbers putty will seal it for good. The tube will also pull off as easy as before. I actually just use small UV reactive zip ties anywhere i have an aftermarket component added. With factory swifttech equipment it wont need anything other than whats included.
 
i don't think if your using antifreeze like pentosin blue then you also need the hydrix
