Bad Disk?

Hiya,

I've got a thread going on in general hardware and I'm trying to figure out if its a bad disk or not.

Long story short, computer was freezing, ran harddisk sentinel which said disk was 100% fit. Couldn't get scandisk to do a complete pass, so assumed windows had gone bad somewhere and tried re-install. Re-install now freezes at 19 minutes left. I've ran memtest with 5 complete passes and nothing shows up, however memtest did freeze once so I restarted.

Can anyone suggest a bootable utility or something that can tell me yes or no if its the disk at fault?
