Im just curious.

My average CPU temperature is about 48c. And the case temperature is around 32c. Thats what the MSI Core Center is telling me.. however reliable that is. Motherboard monitor is telling me the same..

Are these normal temperatures?

Well its really hard to say. Your temperatures will depend on the case, and what all is in it and how good the airflow is.

If your case is hot both those temps will be higher obviously.

That is about what I am getting on my 3200+, although if I enable Cool N Quiet, I can get down to 35 C. I am using a Thermaltake Silent Boost K8 and have a Antec Super Lanboy case if that helps out.

Sometimes, though, when I go into the BIOS, it reports CPU temp at 65, so I am not sure I trust that CoreCenter much.

Mine is ticking along at 26.5C. I don't know how relaible that is but the heatsink is pretty damn cool. I've quadruple checked to make sure it's making good contact.

At default settings with my A64 3200 I run around 40 idle and then about 45 at full load. This is with the stock heatsink/fan

38 idle and peaking around 49 under heavy load. Case temp currently at 36.

Stock heat sink, Antec Sonata case with the single 120mm exhaust fan. Running on the fan only header.

How is everyone monitoring their temperatures? I was using the software that came with my motherboard and it reports no higher than 27 at idle. I'm also using stock sink/fan.

my kv8-max3 reports the temperatures from the diode. On idle i get about 42 (which is 8-10 degrees higher than the surface temp) and about 55 max on load. Surface temp wise that would be 32 idle, 45 load. My cooler is the Alpha PAL 8050?(the a64 on) with a SFII.

On a 3000+ i'm running 45 load, it's low is 37, but i'm running F@H 24/7 (w/ thermaltake silent boost and as3)

I am running MSI core center. I ran MBM and it was report 145 somehow. I know not how.

haha grimlakin.. Same for me. I ran Motherboard monitor and it reported like 120 for me.. maybe thats because you selected the wrong motherboard..like me.

What temp is TOO high for the cpu?
