Auto backup to external?

I am looking around for software to backup content across multiple drives. I would like to select the folders I want backed up. And when I plug in the drive it recognizes and backs up all the recent data.

I would prefer not to need the drive plugged in 24/7.

I am going to try out easeUS todo. But thought maybe someone here had some experience.
