Audio PC to Receiver

[priyaradha]

Hi guys i have a situation. I have a HDMI sound card and a system with regular audio out. No spdif, my receiver has a optical and a spdif(used by dvd player). So my problem is i want to output audio via PC--TV Using HDMI cable. From there i want to use optical out from tv to receiver optical in. My problem is that the receiver wont pick the sound from the tv when in tv/video mode but would pick up in regular channel surfing mode.. How do i solve this??.
