• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Attack code for 'unpatchable' USB flaw released

Theoretically, it could affect any USB device.

In reality, my thoughts are:

The attack is going to be more trouble than it is worth in most circumstances. I highly doubt that somebody is going to steal somebodies usb devices and rechip them with a malicious firmware chip.

What would most likely happen is that special usb attack devices will be made to look like normal usb devices.

This attack, from what I understand would require physical access to a machine unless you give/sell somebody a malicious device. (Don't buy generic usb devices from China).
