i have agp version of visiontek x1950pro 256mb using latest driver and westy 37" firmware 1.11, both of which are supposed to be hdcp capable.

when i tried playing hd dvd's from xbox 360's hd dvd player using powerdvd 7.3, i can't because hdcp check failed. wtf?

i know i can simply rip it and play it back from hard drive, but that defeats the purpose i'm going to try dvi->hdmi cable coming in next week. i'm also looking @x2600xt agp version.

what about your experiences with trying to play either hd dvd or blu-ray back?

So you have the origional Westy and not the SE? if so there were some documented HDCP Problems wit this monitor esp using the second DVI, which is why the second DVI was eleiminated on the SE version.

Have you tried DVI1?

i've tried dvi1, hdmi and nothing works. i don't think it's just me. i've read that ati+hdcp=no good. looks like i'll have to try the 2600xt pro agp out. hopefully that one will work :(
