ATI x800 Pro Problems

I just got a x800 today , brand new in box and can't seem to get the 8X AGP to work. When i go to SmartGart it says "AGP Off" , so i slid the thing to 8x and restarted , it won't stick , it's always off. I uninstalled all the drivers , reinstalled the cat's and still..nothing. Anyone know what to do?

You have your motherboard chipset drivers installed? If not, try that.:)
