I was running the memory test to find the max on my 9600 pro, i came back after an hour and the screen had white lines everywhere, basically the video was messed up big time. I restarted and everything seems to be ok... Could i of done any permanent damage to the card?

Yah i did the same thing too

Before highest my balls would let me go for 3dmark 2001se was 445/400

very very unlikely.. but if your running a program like that you cant just hit start and run off. if you were to get a problem like that it would have happened the first 3 minutes. if the card is fine now the card is fine.

that is a dx7 artifact tester...

...... didnt know it made a diffrence

w3wt does that mean i can overclock more to run my beloved FF7?

sounds like atitool went a little far with the memory clock causing permanant artifacts which could not be resolved by lowering the clockspeed. No permanant damage should be done, in the latest version just increase the warmup under settings, or increase the time between bumping up a mhz so it theres time for the memory artifacts to appear.

i think my video card is messed, it seems slower in ut2004, and all the environmental in far cry is messed to sh*t.......... i think i might take it back to BB.... not mentioning i overclocked it of course

far cry has many many bugs when put with an ATI card (i usually get corruption looking graphics 50% of the time i turn that game off.. even with af off, turn mutlisampling off and dont set textures and what not to highest quality)..

"seems slower in ut2004" is no reason to return a card. sounds like a lot fo user error.
