ATI Radeon 5770 new 10.5 drivers makes screen not fill monitor despite full resoluti

Everything works fine w/ windows version of driver but when I manually install ATI 10.5 drivers the monitor screen will have a one inch black border despite resolution to full (19 x 10)

any ideas?

i5 750
ATI Radeon 5770
Windows 7 64 bit
Monitor: Dell ST2410

actually found a solution for this. just switched out hdmi for dvi and it works fine now. Should I keep this thread here? How do I delete it?
