The rabbit with a pancake has spoken. He said that all you f4nb0y idiots should shut up on both sides and enjoy the game for the love of god! You people want to sit there and whip out e-penises because you get a few more frame rates over e-penis#2, then that is all well and good but you guys look like fools. Why dont you guys just duke it out online and let skill and wits determine who is the real winner. :rolleyes:

I also don't recall hearing about Carmack personally receiving anything from nVidia. I know there are bundle options of Doom 3 coming with some nVidia cards, but I'm guessing those are manufacturer specific. So as far as I can tell, those two situtations aren't the same.

nVidia designed the 6800 series based on what Carmack wanted to do with his engines...

It is real world dude..it wasnt some website's benchmark, its users reporting the gain.
 
Showing brand loyalty to a video card maker is like being loyal to either Charmin or Angelsoft toilet tissue...they both work on shit fairly well, so get one or the other and enjoy it. :D
