ATI AA question.

Greetings everyone, few weeks back i got a HD3870 upgrade from 8800GTS old im happy with it. Recently i began to notice that ati's AA is kinda weak or missing at all
AF quality is superb but check this out this is max game settings 16AF 4AA [Team Fortress 2]





Is this how 4AA really looks like ?

Um, I fail to see where Anti-aliasing is missing. Perhaps provide higher quality .png screenshots.

edit
try enabling adaptive AA, it usually gives you better picture.

AA is enabled in the top picture in the above post, but not in the second (bottom) picture.

Adaptive AA also antialiases most other stuff that can be viewed through, like a fence or a crane or tree limbs attached as sprites upon polygons. Those are called "transparent" alpha textures, so you will have to turn on Adpative AA for a more complete AA'ed image (although costing more GPU power).

8 AA doesent look all that good I expect it to be way better.

I found out that i cant force AA from CCC for guildwars .... wich is strange AA works only with from ingame settings (had no problem playing 16AA on my 8800...) ingame settings however allow only 4aa :S

Well thanks, i think im satisfied with what i see then ... maybe im too demanding this can be closed.
