Ok, I have the below computer and I found that when I overclocked it, it wasn't stable. I'd run BF1942 and it would crash out when I had the processor to 3200 (400FSB) speeds.

I am wondering what I should set my ram too as far as timings exactly and the latency. I'm wondering if that is what was the problem before.
Right now I have this listed in the bios.

SDRAM Active Precharge Delay: 8
SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay: 4
SDRAM RAS Precharge Delay: 4
SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T
And the FSB Spread Spectrum at 505%

And it would appear as though my CPU Core Voltage is at 1.63V
Do you think it's necessary for me to take it up to 1.85V or higher?

Please list specifics I guess.
Thanks

What are your load temps? If they're fine try 1.75V. first then raise at .05 V til your stable. Don't go over 1.9V without testing for stability first.

The only settings I use on my mem is 2.7V @ 200 FSB

Right now loads are around 40-43. Idle is 36c.

I put the Core voltage to 1.85V and it's running stable from what I can tell. I'm going to be running some benchmark programs soon.

Good temps! BF1942 is a great stress tester. Tried it yet since raising Vcore?

I tried it and the game runs smooth and no crashes. I think it's stable now. And the tempts are pretty nice. Although I have sacrificed quietness for this machine. As the Tornado is the overpowering sound in my room.

The Swiftech heatsink is kinda funky too. BUT I will eventually go to liquid cooling, as well as when I do that, I'll top out the processor to the regular 3200. But for now, this is working great.

Thanks everyone for helping!

glad you got it stable, but your sig is too long ;D

It JUST does it in BF 1942? *Snrk* Sounds more like the game is craching than your PC.

Anyway, do you know what week the chip is? I have a week 17 2500+ and it takes 1.85v to run at 2.2 ghz. If you have a newer chip, you could probably get away with 1.85v at 2.4 ghz. :p I'd have to pull 2.0+v to get stable past 2.35 ghz. :(
