A good budy of mine wants me to build him a SFF Gaming machine. I have never really looked into SFF PCs. I was hoping you guys could point me to the best SFF setups for gaming/overclocking. I have only two real requirements. It need to be for Athlon 64 (most likely 754 but maybe 939) and it needs to be able to fit a 6800 gt. I really like the looks of the case Falcon NW computers uses for their SFF systems. Who makes that thing? Thanks.

Might check out the IDEQ 200P. Looks good (at least to me.) Supposed to have some problems with certain kinds of memory, but I built 4 of them for a home office and they all worked great. (supposedly samsung memory works best in them.) That's socket 754. Lots of overclocking options, but I didn't try. (At least not yet.)

The handle on the top of the case of the Falcon Northwest sure looks like this case:

the soltek 3801 is by far the best choice for features, the only problem is it doesnt look as atractive as the hsiuttles. or else i would of got one instead of my sn95g5

I think the newest XPC is the SN95G5 for Athlon64 S939 with I believe Nforce3 250. As Ive said in other posts, its look awesome too.

I think im going to go with the soltek one, although the shuttle looks great its just a little out of his price range with the more expenseive 939 cpus. Does anyone know if I can fit a 6800gt with a single slot cooler in it? Im just worried about the lenght of the card. Thanks again for all the suggestions. (BTW is that 939 shuttle built on the nforce 3 ultra or 150 chipset? Thinking about getting one for myself :) )

yes the gt will fit in both systems. the shuttle system is based on the nf3 250 ultra. it has some problems with the giga ethernet not implented into the htt and stuck on the pci bus instead. that means its limited to 133 mb/s. to most poeple that is not a problem though. i have a shuttle becuase i love the wy it looks and the negatives of it didnt bother me. i would recomend the soltek one though.my cpu is running at 19celsius . something is wrong with that.

If you don't mind having a Socket 754 computer, the Shuttle SK83G isn't a bad bet. It's the oldest of the Shuttle G-series barebones cases, but it's an attractive black case with room for two (cool -- i.e. NOT Maxtor) hard drives and an optical drive. You just have to be willing to settle for Socket 754 and, possibly, a quickly obsolete system.

Mine has been great so far, minus some temperature read issues and a defective fan. You have to expect these sorts of issues with cutting edge hardware. Otherwise, the VIA chipset has been great.
