Athlon 2400+ Mobile Temp Poll

I recently installed an Athlon XP-M 2400+ in my DFI Infinity Ultra, with a Zalman CNPS-7000A-Cu and some Arctic Silver 5. I have 6 case fans, each moves 34 cubic feet per minute. The Zalman is not even plugged into the FanMate, it's plugged into the board, so it runs at full speed.

My Prime95 temperatures even out at 36 degrees after a few hours, I am at 1.7 volts and 2200 mHz.

I was just wondering, what volts/clock are you guys using, and what are your temps?

Also, is my DFI temperature sensor accurate?
(I am using Motherboard Monitor 5 to monitor temperatures)

2400mhz 1.725V with the same heatsink and the same artic silver. However running nfs-7 rev 2.0

my temps are quite a bit higher 46Cidle but i am at a quicker speed with 120mm fan intake and 120mm fan exhaust. Those temps seem a bit low since mine was 41C idle at 2000mhz i believe so they seem a bit low for load. Using sandra sisoft you can get a good guess how many watts your chip is putting out, mine is 110W now. Then check the C/W conversion and convert yourself with what your temperature should be. The Zalman at full speed is rated at .20C/W meaning a raise of .20C per watt above ambient.. this dosent include any case airflow. Thus probally the lowest you will see with the zalman and good case flow is .18C/W just do the conversion then add it to the ambient temperature in the room and that is the mathematical temperature your processor should be at.

Is there some kind of shroud or shield around the temperature sensor that you have to remove before installing? I just dropped my chip in. Sandra reads my chip has having 98 watts, and 36 degrees as well. Ambient is about 26-27 down here in my basement.

the zalman can fit on the nf7-s..rev 2.0 I have posted on how it is done. I was a sucker and asked in this forum would if fit..everyone said yes..bought one ...swore a few times when i didnt see if fit...knew i could return it ...so made if fit...really quite easy only took about 5 mins to do

yeah man ...just do the calc 98W * .20 = 19.6C raise above ambient so 26-27...26.5C mean

19.6 + 26.5 = 46.1C

thinking that sisoft is abit off and you have those case fans

.18C * 98W=17.64C + ambient (26.5c)=44.14C so i would guess it is misreporting

my guess is that you are more likely at 40C..since i dont think that at 2200mhz that you are at 98W i would think more along the lines of 90W...
