Is it normal for the chipset heatsink on an Asus A8N-SLI Premium to get so hot it will damn near burn your finger? It's the board with the heatpipe cooler for the chipset that runs around to by the CPU socket. I'm guessing its supposed to get cooling from your processor exhaust. The computer seems to run stable, I'm just not used to chipsets being so hot. It's a nForce4 chipset I believe.

strap a 40mm fan onto it if it bothers you.If it seems to be running fine, dont worry.

It has a "block" attached to the chipset with no fins on it. The only way I could see doing that is if I strapped a heatsink onto it. Just putting a fan on it wouldn't do much. Problem is that there is NO room because of my video card to do so.
