Asus a8n-e cant open any downloaded exe files

I have an asus a8n-e and I cant figure out what is going on. I try to download a file from anywhere on the internet from download.com or just anything in general. The download gets to 99% and says it cant install because file is corrupted and to please try and redownload the file.

I have tried to run a full repair on the windows OS, I cant find the CD or the correct drivers on the internet for this model mobo. I was thinking about wiping the whole machine but I atleast need the network driver first.

2questions

What could be the main problem?

Could anyone help me find the drivers I need to download for this mobo?
 
could well be the nVidia Network Access Manager, try setting the Active Armor profile to "not offloadable".

As for drivers they should be available from the Asus website of the main chipset drivers from nVidia.com
 
Thanks i'll try that when I get home today.

1 more question:

will the nforce 4 driver i just downloaded also pickup the onboard NIC and sound... etc ?
