Aspire X-Qpack temp probe problems

Hey guys. My work is building a couple of custom PCs (well, probably a lot of them, but these are the first batch) and they decided to go with an SFF case, the X-Qpack specifically. We've got three right now, loaded them up with some Pentium D 950s, 2GB RAM and an Intel 945GTP apiece. The HDD sensor registers correctly, but on all three cases, the CPU probe just reports "--". The power connector for it is daisy chained to an optical drive and one of the hard drives, and obviously definitely works because the HDD probe works fine. Has anybody else had problems like this?

Thanks for the reply. We've checked them physically, even removed the front panel and the LCD readout itself, and there appears to be no damage to any connections / solders. The only thing we can think is that the cables for the probes themselves were damaged, but even then, what are the chances that 3 seperate techs working on 3 seperate cases would all damage the same cable? All 3 cases have working HDD probes, and none of the 3 have working CPU probes. I'm getting the idea that maybe Aspire shipped out a whole bunch of faulty CPU probes?
 
There are no known working ones. We got three cases, and all three are faulty. Plus, they appeared to be soldered to the the interior (in a little bay that houses the logic of the LCD readout) of the front panel anyhow, so even if we had functioning temp probes, that would be much easier said than done.
 
My X-QPack's temp probes were connected like the front panel LEDs are. They simply unplug from the back of the LCD.

Oh well.

Ummm, RMA them? That's about all I can think of.
 
My co-worker has this same problem, his display intermittantly shows "--". Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. TBH, I'm thinking thier displays are a bit... shabby. This is my opinion of course.
 
Haha, well, I've already come to the conclusion that their everything is shabby...personally, I would have chosen a Lian Li V300 over these things any day of the week. Alas, apparently our clients like glowy lights. I'll see if I can prod the sensors into working and if I do, I'll let you know.

Oh, and we got a fourth one today, and the sensor on this one actually works. So we're 1 for 4.
