Aspect Ratio Question

Will Vista and or future games be optimized for 16:10 or 16:9 widescreen. I am building a new computer and would like to get a great monitor. Really debating between two 20-22" 16:10 monitors or one 16:9 hdtv with 1080p. Primary uses would be Gaming and Photoshop....

well, with the "games for windows" initiative all games must have widescreen support. I have a 20" wide display and love it.

if you dont plan on watching movies, 16:10 would probably be the way to go since 1080p (16:9) is mostly used for HD programming and movies.

Unless you're planning to wait for the 32" 1080ps, the TVs are all 37" or bigger - very big for desktop use. Just my personal opinion.

If your going for LCD monitors they will be 16:10 aspect ratio. If you go with LCD/TV most of them will be 16:9 aspect ratio. 16:10 is good because as a computer monitor you got the extra height and can still display 16:9 movies. What about the 30" Dell 3007WFP? You got the added headroom of higher resolution.
