Has anyone removed the stock heatsink of the 9800 Pro and replaced the white grease with AS5? Any noticable results?

I'm debating doing this as I personally use a BBA 9800 non-Pro that I've flashed into Pro but the core has very poor overclocking performance and probably potential.

I've only been able to get 400Mhz stock out of the core and 350 out of the memory. I've never really felt that memory sinks on BGA ram have made much of a difference from past experience (correct me if I'm wrong), but I'm more interested in improving my core overclock.

i did it, i dunno how much of a difference it makes since i havent o/ced my card yet.

I did it too...don't waste your time.

If you are going to put a vga silencer on...go for it...otherwise...it doesn't overclock much if any better

Yeah it is not worth it, I did the same thing and there was no noticable difference. Doesn't OC any better at all.
