This happens in all of my games, I have downloaded the newest driver from ATI, the card in a Radeon 9500 Pro, stock cooling and no overclock, i am wondering if this might be cause by a lack of cooling, I have a LanBoy with only the PSU fans and the cpu fan, do any of you have any idea what causes this, or how I could be sure that cooling is the problem?

Here is a screenshot (don't know how this worked) that shows the artifacts, this is the only one that showed them that I got, the rest did not show them, and yes, this happens on every game i have tried

Help is greatly appreciated

GPU is overheating there, man. Check the fan on the GPU to make sure its turning. The LanBoy has a spot for a fan up front and in the rear. Get 2 fans, one to pull in air from teh front and one to push air out the back, should push some air across that 9500.

try takin off your side panel and point a house fan in that bad boy. see if that fixes the prob.

I forgot to say that I tried that, even turned off the computer for a while for it to cool down, still had the problem, but that fan my just not have been doing the trick, so would you all reccomend just buying the fans and trying that, I can afford them right now, so that would work.

Oh, and the GPU fan is running.

With the case open & a large house fan pointing at it, heat shouldn't be a problem.

What have you changed recently, or has the card done this since the day you purchased it?

I have changed nothing lately, and it did not do this from the day of purchase. And i was looking, and it seems that the heatsink on the GPU is HOT to the touch, is this ok? And the house fan was only like 6 inches in diameter.

Thats the new Brail Feature, its nothing to worry about. :p

I'll be serious. Can you test the card in another computer? See if it gives you the same problem?

You are all wrong on this one :)

Its the drivers :(

I just posted this in another thread.

I upgraded my 9500 Pro to the 3.7s, 3.8s, and 3.10s. Everything before that worked great, but the newer ones cause these artifacts. As soon as I installed the crappy drivers off the CD, no more artifacts.

I too, thought it was heat related, but everything is ok heat wise, and nothing is overclocked.

Now I am starting to wonder what ATI did that screws us 9500 Pro users up so bad.

Nice screenshot of AA :) My favorite game.

Whether that's the problem of not, I would still get two 80mm fans for the computer. You also might want to make sure the one up front drawing air in has a higher CFM rating.

Looks like I'm going to be having fun with drivers next month with my ATI card, hehe.
