well the title of the thread does say artic silver mx-1.................


it'll be interesting to see how it performs, won't be too long an all the [h]ardcore on the board will put it through its paces.
 
Sounded pretty on topic to me. A lot of people would probably be confused about that if no one had the consideration to post somthing about it.
 
Hmmm, its good that it is non-conductive..That is one problem with AS5

Id like to see how this stuff compares to AS5 temp wise

off topic: you have serious issues.... don't be a buthole when someone points something out to you

on topic: i'd like to see an independent review... it seems a little too convenient that they left out AS5... i'm sure more people use that than AS3... they don't give any info and as far as i can tell put some arbitrary #'s on some charts
 
are there comparisons between as3 and as5? cuz if there is, then you could do some cross referencing of them to see how it stacks up.

i am of the opinion of that its nearly impossible to get a better tim without getting conductive... remember as5 contains real silver...
compare gallium to as5... threads about gallium have been floating around...
 
Properly applied, even the white typical stock paste is almost as good as AS5.....that's a fact.

Anybody that says they got 10c better temps with AS3/5 etc. as opposed to the white stuff, did not properly apply it....period :D

QFT, properly applied as5 only decreased temps by 5 degs over NO TIM AT ALL on my uber lapped water block/cpu ihs
