...that are Beyer 770 quality yet not MMX 300 price?

I want to step up from my $20 Plantronics but I don't want to use the Zalman clip-on mic because I need a mute switch. (I play games with voice chat like TF2 using push to talk while also talking in Vent using voice activation but also want to be able to mute it to talk to the wife if she walks in and has a question or something.

Are there any options? ($100-200 is my range roughly)
 
sb49 has no mute swith for the mic- no Koss headsets do i think. i know what u mean about needing a mic mute for when the wife or kids need to talk to u and u dont need the clan to hear it!

the plantroics audio.370 is decent-ish- a step up from the audio 350, 90, or gamecomm
i like the steelsound 5hv2- very nice highs and mids- so-so bass. braided lines, cable mic. a little expensive at 70$. i have several sennheisers, koss, and audio technics- but if i'm on teamspeak i use these.

i have a clip on mic with a mute button- but its old and i have no idea where i found it
 
It doesn't? Oh well I never have seen one.

I use my finger as a mute btw.
 
So I went with the Steelsound until I find something better. Thanks for the advice guys.
 
You've been living with your steelsounds for a while now. I'm considering getting those among some other headsets and I'm wondering how they've worked out for you now that you've had them a few months.
