Are Shuttles really picky with Memory??

I'm Thinking of upgrading the memory in my Shuttle SN85GV3, but I've heard that Shuttles can be picky with memory sometimes. Right now I'm using 2x512mb of Corsair and have no problems. So yeah, I'm just wondering of most brand of memory won't have problems or does it have to be specific companies.
 
I've honestly only ever used Corsair ram in my shuttles and never had issues.
 
I've used both OCZ (2x512MB) and cheap Samsung (2x256MB) in my SN95G5 v3 with no problems. Thats hardly definitive, though, I only used the Samsung for a few weeks while I was waiting for the OCZ.
 
Using PQi Turbo here, which is fairly generic as ram goes.

It won't do the same timings as it did in my Jetway mobo in an X-QPACK (240 @ CL3-4-4-8 vs 250 @ CL3-4-3-8), but it certainly works alright.
 
My shuttle came with some Genero cheapo ram which i switched out for some Gskill ram which it runs great.

I built an older shuttle P4 S478, light blue (to lazy to look up the name).
It did not work with a new stick of PC 2100 PQI Power series. In fact, the only board I could get that ram to work in was my DFI pro875b.
 
Ive got an SN95G5 with 1 GB Kingston value ram and it works just fine. :D
 
PQI, ADATA, Kingston, Corsair, Kingmax, OCZ, Crucial, Gigaram, Geil, Mushkin, All componants, Patriot, G.Skill, Rosewell

Ive used them all in shuttles, 1GB sticks, the cheaper models no problems

All AMD model shuttles, socket 754 and 939
 
I've made many XPC's without any memory problems. Though mostly using good and bit more exprencive memory.

I'd say go for quality memory like Corsair, Mushkin, OCZ, or G.Skill at least it gives you better chance of not having memory problems
