Can anyone recommend a free application that will resize my 131 GB partition to include the 100 GB unallocated space I have left over? Partition Magic costs $70....

(If you havent already guessed, I don't want two partitions...)

Thanks!

You might try asking in General Software. Also, I will throw out this suggestion: In the time you've taken to get around this problem, you could probably create an SP2 slipstreamed XP CD, reformat, and get 48bit LBA support out of the box with one big partition like you want.

Also, PM pretty much has a stranglehold on this market, and so they can command $70 for this product. However, some time ago, there was a product called Partition Commander from (IIRC) Acronis. Try searching for it and see if it will do what you need.

Is there a thread on here that details how to slipstream SP2? I'm totally unfamiliar with the term/process.

Thanks Doug

Acronis now makes Partition Manager (49.95). Trial version disables apply changes. Yuck...
