Very pleased for you :) ...can you give some more In-Game screen shots and if the ghosting you had is any better, or what degree of ghosting can you see. I am deciding on a 23" and your views on the apple will help me decide between a few i have been looking at.

its realy hard to put into words what ghosting i was seeing, and im not fast enough with the screen capture button to capture it. Basically I think i was going a bit OTT spending 1.5large makes u go a bit mad i think.

The only ghosting im seeing and not under normal play (CS:S) was when i was moving the mouse rapidly from side to side, and i mean rapidly not the kind of thing u do in play unless u want the other FPS peeps to think you have a nervous tick or somit.. ;) basically back to the 1.5large i was trying my upmost to pick a fault, and after seeing the difference between my LG and Apple side by side its something else it realy is a quality display and so it should be for that money ive come to terms with the spend now which was a big hill to climb.

I made my final desision to keep the apple after playing a couple hours session on CS:S last night, totally enjoyed myself didnt notice any ghosting and am realy realy getting into this widescreen gaming lark it makes the whole gaming experience so much more imersive, as since you viewing in a wide format you view just the game your eyes dont focus on any of the outer framework of the display.

hope this helps.

let me know if you would like any particular screen dump, and i'll see what i can do, I will be playing CS:S again tonight let me know if theres any particular map u want to see.

p.s good luck with getting your new display

one last thing check out info on your GFX card as this display is very fussy on which ones show the post screens.

Did you decide on returning it to try and get a better one? I don't think that's really ghosting but motion blur that you're seeing. Ghosting is when you see an afterimage, blurring is just when it doesn't seem like a smooth transition cause it's so fast... good luck..

Hi jerry hows the sony going?

decided not to return for another due to not having any pink or yellow problems and the fact my one green stuck i can barly see it, and thats only when i have a solid black background and go looking for it, dont want to risk returning a 99% perfect one and end up with a lemon as a replacement with loads of colour issues.

here's a few badly taken shots of the display, and i could of at least wiped the back down for the piccy.. look at them finger prints ;)

Sony's going great. There's now a Sony KDF-55WF655 55 inch LCD rear project TV to match it =P I can feel quite a bit of heat emanating from the top of back panel of the monitor, where the vent holes are located... I shudder to wonder that the same heat had nowhere to go on the Apple...

well i dont know why im posting in this thread because i am not a fan of Apple, but i need to say.....a 26" LG owns that. but than again that monitor does cost less and pwnes efficiently. :D

Link and product model please? I can't find any 26" monitor on the LG website, so my guess is you're talking about a low resolution LCD TV, which isn't suitable for a computer monitor.
