Apollo a good choice?

It's a basic nVidia reference design card with stock cooler. Just PCB aint green.

I've never heard of Apollo but I would gues card is good as any reference design.

You can allways return it, can't You?

I've never heard anything bad about apollo. It is also to my understanding that AGP 6800GTs are cheaper than their pcx counterparts. That is one possible reason it is cheaper than other 6800GTs other than the fact that it is (basically) a no-name company.
 
From what I read agp and pci-e are right now basically the same speed. So it may be more cost effective to go with agp right if your not interested in future upgrades right?
 
That's a real 6800GT AGP. 16 pipes, 350mhz core, 1000mhx gddr3. Great price. The AGP and PCI-E versions are clocked at the same speeds... but there is less demand for the AGP ones (no possibility for SLI - less motherboards are sporting AGP as a mainstream peripheral bus interface), so down goes the price.
