Alright, it was apparent that my apogee was leaking right when I started my leak testing. The reason why it is leaking at the threads is that I am using a 90 degree elbow on the block, and then I have barbs off the elbows. There are no leaks where the barbs screw in, but the elbows are leaking pretty badly at the side that screws into the waterblock. I can't figure out how to solve this, I've tried gooping it and thread tape. If I had o-rings I'd try it but I don't have any. Any insight?

Apogee leaking at threads

Your probably over tightening it. Anyways the apogee and the storm were designed to be used with fittings that seal with an O-ring.

I am well aware of that, but I have no choice in whether I use elbows or not. I'll try loosening them up a bit.
edit: So I refitted the elbows with rubber bands and didn't tighten them as much. It helped the problem a little, but it still leaks.

lol, no really? Maybe you can help me find fittings that will work then, because obviously you know where to find fittings that NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIND SUCCESSFULLY (At least from what I've seen).
Look, thank you for telling me I have the wrong fittings, but I already knew that and picked the next best fitting available (which is obviously crap). Right now I'm trying to use a temporary solution until I find a 1/4 bspp fitting that is either an elbow or qd with elbow attachment. As of this moment, mcmaster and omega don't have anything like that from my searching (all two months of it), so if you would be so kind to direct me towards what I am looking for, I'd be grateful.

What is the block made of....perhaps tapping it with a tap to match the fittings you have?
If the block is copper....a little silver solder will solve the problem for sure...if the upper portion is acrylic or what ever....rethreading with a tap might work, but most definitely trying to mate two different threads is a losing situation.

Swiftech apogee, they say it is possible to mate NPT with their threads but there is massive leakage prevention needed since BSPP seals at the top of the fitting rather on the threads themselves like NPT. I'm not going to retap to NPT since the threading is so close that they actually fit rather well. Screwing BSPP to NPT hasn't proved a problem (my elbows aren't leaking on the female side), but NPT into BSPP is more of a problem since the NPT thread is tapered where the BSPP is parallel so seal isn't strong at all.

Seems kinda stupid that they would make it with a BSPP thread, sort of an oddball.......have you tried an rtv sealant.....?I use Permatex black at work and we actually make oil pan and timing cover gaskets out of it on a lot of import engines....and they do make a clear version. I know it will seal water as we also use it on headbolts that penetrate the water jacket of an engine....and that is coolant at 190 F and 16psi. failing all else....you could fab up an elbow from a straight fitting.......cut at a 45 degree angle....rotate and silver solder.....
