So im trying to get MSinfo32 to run, and in doing so discover ive someone uninstalled, or never installed Help + Support service on my XP SP 2 desktop - ok fine, i get a reg file to implement it
now its on the list of services with startup as automatic, but says " Could not start Help and Support service on local computer / Error 1083: The executable program that this service is configured to run in does not implement the service"
WtH does that mean, sounds like its saying Svchost.exe doesnt run help + support? but thats how its run from command line
if i run "C:\WINNT\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs" it will hourglass for a bit, then disappear
what do i need ??
