i dont like emIII because you cant make it minimize automatically at startup, and you cant get rid of the dumb sounds it makes when you start it or mouse over anything.

ill start using the cli+em3 if somone helps me figure out how to make it do what i want :)

Actually you can turn off all the sounds, and set it run run in stealth mode (no gui or icon in system tray). Very handy to keep out of snooping eyes...no one will ever know its there.
Just check the help section in emIII, it'll walk you through all the options.
As far as running the f@h console, check the sticky at the top of the forum.

i love the f@h console, i was just having trouble with em3, but honestly im kinda fine with the gui cause this isnt a multi user comp so i dont need the service or anything hmm...

If EM3 isn't working how you'd like, take a look here and see if FAHMon or fahstats might be a little more in tune with what you're looking for. They're just lean monitoring packages, but they might fit what you're looking for a bit better.

i like the command line client. simple, and it works.

QFT, I had problems with the graphical, switched to the console, and everything was better, and I used EMIII to monitor progress. I like the console, but some people prefer the graphical client.

The bible on EM3:

http://home.comcast.net/~wxdude1/emsite/help/index.html

If you scroll down to: Choosing things for EM to do.
You will find the different settings for sounds, startup, shutdown, and everything else. Give it a go before you give up on em3!

I almost quite F@H the same week I started due to the graphical client... And look at me now :p

Still stuck in this damn place ;)
